A Case of Neurritemmoma of the Pharynx

Abstract
|

|
The origin of the tumor of nerve sheath was first described by Verocay in 1908, and was named as neurinoma in 1910. They may occur at any age and have shown no sex and location preponderance, however, usually .occur in the headland the neck area in 25 percent of the crises and have not shown metastasis, and are very radioresistant.
We have recently experienced a case of neurilemmoma of the pharynx. The patient was a 26 year-old female who had noticed a gradual swelling cf the right aspect of the pharynx with a foreign body sensation for 8 months.
The tumor was removed completely under the general endotracheal anesthesia, and was verified histopathologically ss neurilemmoma of the pharynx.
